* The seventh volume of Marx and Engels Selected Works contains documents on the historic workers' uprising in Paris in 1871 and the first workers' government, the "Paris Commune", which followed it, as well as Marx's articles, reports, and interviews. * The Commune government consisted of various socialists who had existed in Europe since the middle of the 19th century. It is said that a type of extremist called the Blanquists led the Paris Commune. The thoughts of Marx and Engels played an important role in the formation of a consensus in the theory of socialism among the workers. The declarations of the International Workers' Association, known in history as the First International (1867-72), united multinational workers' organizations in practice, beyond theoretical differences. The feeling of proletarian internationalism, which was greatly developed by the First International, was strongly expressed in the Paris Commune.
