On November 7, 1917, the revolutionary wave of workers, peasants, and soldiers overthrew the Provisional Government and established the Soviet government. This volume contains Lenin's contributions to the All-Russian Congress of Soviets, the Bolshevik Party Congress, and the press on how to deal with the challenges facing the new government. They provide a direct view of how the Soviet government overcame and overcame many of the challenges it faced, including countering the attacks launched by representatives of the old power at home and freeing Russia from the imperialist war.
